Team Handball? We were watching this on Saturday and it's off the Chain!!! We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Maya Angelou

The entire U.S. squad is clean, clean, clean, I tell ya! We don't need no stinking steroids to deal with the French! The Russians and Chinese, maybe, but not the French. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

And that really pisses me off! The whole point of the Olympics is to share the wealth around different nations. The fact that they came up with a terrible schedule just for the American dollar is absolutely disgusting. It's hard enough being in Australia and seeing live sports at weird hours. This is one of the only occasions we may have to see such a great event at a reasonable hour, given the two hour time difference. It's sad that a world event can be so dictated by one damn country. No, what's sad is that even dictating the schedule we still screw over 20% of the U.S. population on the West Coast. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I think I'm losing my mind. George Bush didn't seem like a complete moron in that interview!
That one Chinese gymnast can't be more than 12! I'm hoping a certain one of the Americans is 18 because she's pretty cute Why do I want Michael Phelps to lose one of his races? My Legacy

Ok, am I honestly the only one that thinks the overwhelming multitude of world record breakers are fishy? Mankind was made with a strong physical ability which has been tapped into for a good amount of time..... however, this is ridiculous. We've broken most all swimming records.. I smell human growth enhancement ..... I want to be wrong, really I do. IN the face of so many athletes presently being stripped of medals...

Mens Gymnsatics.
China came for blood and won the gold but USA had silver within reach, stumbled with the pummel horse and had to settle for Bronze. Japan, silver. Im kinda disappointed.

it's a bit odd. People used to break records by fractions of seconds. Now they're breaking them by seconds. Isn't that backwards? It seems to me that record breaking should be getting more incremental as more & more athletes get closer to that peak of performance. My Legacy

I've been wondering about this a lot since the Olympics started. How in the world can they keep getting faster and faster?... very strange that's like asking why buildings keep getting taller. We are better at building them. As humans we've developed techniques that enhance physical ability even without using drug supplements. Year around training, and more knowledge of physiology lead to improvements just as more knowledge of building materials and structural integrity lead to taller building being possible that could not have been previously constructed. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Congrats to Phelps. Most medals of all time. Wow. Such a huge accomplishment for a 23 year old. Just think if he comes back to the next games. I felt bad for Alicia Sacramone....she messed up big time twice.... on floor & balance beam. I'd still be happy with the Silver. The US girls can still come through with the individual events. I thought it was funny how Bela Karoyli called out China's team for having underage girls on the team. When Alicia kept messing up, I was thinking the same thing as Bela. Alicia's 20.....I was thinking that her nerves would rattle easier than a 15 or 16 year old's. I haven't seen rhythmic gymnastics in a long time. I wonder if they still have it.....with the ribbons & balls. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

That poor Alicia Sacramone. She looked absolutely crushed -- almost intervention-worthy -- after her routines. I hope her teammates, friends and family were really supportive of her. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I saw her too. She looked like she was about to lose it after she fell off the balance beam, and after the floor exercise she looked like she was ready to slit her wrists. I felt bad for her, especially since she felt like she cost the USA the gold medal. In defense, both Shawn Johnson and Nastia Lukin messed up on the floor exercises too, and the Chinese girls were actually quite awesome. Even if the USA women hadn't messed up, I still think that the Chinese would have won the gold medal, but it would have been very close. SUPRMAN said: JessieJ said:

Michael Phelps may just be a freak of nature who's naturally fast, but with the other swimmers, has anyone noticed all of the high-tech NASA designed swimsuits they are all wearing? I kept suspecting that there may be some doping going on, but then again these swimsuits are designed to make all of the swimmers as aerodynamic as dolphins in the ocean. I've noticed that with not just the Americans but all of the swimmers. There are people who are breaking the previous world records who are finishing fourth.
